Newsflash-Oman goes paperless
Salalah stops accepting paper D/O’s
E-Delivery order upload solutions have
already been implemented and activated at Port of Salalah. For majority of the shipping lines an FTP system has been set up, where the pdf version of the Delivery Order can be uploaded by the shipping lines and accessed by the Port.
The gate team at Salalah Port has been equipped with personal protection equipment to mitigate the risk of virus transmission.
Cash payments are no longer accepted at the gate and all payments are made electronically. As for the Original Bills of Lading, a safe drop-box arrangement has been taken in use to minimize the human interaction. Overall, the Container Terminal, the General Cargo Terminal and the Marine Services operate normally apart from exceptions as informed at Port of Salalah web page http://www.salalahport.com/.
The port encourages the customers to use the gate round the clock in order to reduce the number of peak time visitors at the gate. There is no additional charge for using the gate at night time.
